Bengaluru, Sept. 12 -- State-runGAIL Indiawitnessed a slight rise in its share price after theKarnatakagovernment officially allotted land to the company for setting up a compressed biogas (CBG) plant.

The decision was recently approved by the Karnataka Cabinet, marking a step forward in promoting clean energy initiatives in the state.

The upcoming plant will be located in Haralakunte village in Bengaluru South. Around 18 acres of land have been earmarked for the project, which will initially have a production capacity of 300 tonnes per day.
