Srinagar, Aug. 5 -- The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI) has approved the proposal to setup 3 Common Incubation Centres in Jammu and Kashmir. These centres will include a hub for milk and its products in Narwal, for fish in Achabal and for apples in Doabgah.

A review meeting for the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM-FME) scheme was underway at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu on Thursday. The decision regarding the incubation centres was announced here.





The PM- FME scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme and it is aimed at providing financial, technical and business support for the upgradation of existing micro food processing enterprises.
