Bhubaneswar, Sept. 20 -- The Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) 'Adamya', the first in a series of eight Adamya-class Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs), was commissioned at Paradip Port, Odisha, on September 19, 2025.
The 51-metre vessel has been designed and built by Goa Shipyard Limited with over 60 percent indigenous content, showcasing India's Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative in the maritime sector.
Based at Paradip, ICGS Adamya will function under the operational and administrative control of the Commander, ICG Region (North East), through Commander, ICG District Headquarters No. 7 (Odisha).
