New Delhi, Jan. 20 -- The Department of Posts (DoP) has operationalised the extension of export benefits including Duty Drawback, Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) and Rebate of State and Central Taxes and Levies (RoSCTL) for exports made through the postal channel, with effect from 15 January 2026.
The move follows notifications issued by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).
The initiative is aimed at simplifying export procedures and expanding access to global markets, particularly for MSMEs, artisans, start-ups and small exporters who rely on the postal network for low- and medium-value international consignments.
