New Delhi, June 24 -- Export Promotion Council for EOUs & SEZs (EPCES) has expressed gratitude to Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) for waiving off one-month electricity fixed charge.
Since, the electricity was not in use in the month of April 2020 and May 2020, we were receiving requests from the units to ask Uttar Pradesh Government to waive off fixed charge for 3 months, because of the slowdown in businesses due to nationwide lockdown. Accordingly, we made the request and got the partial relief, said Vilas Gupta, Regional Chairman EPCES-Noida SEZ.
While thanking UPPCL, Gupta also requested to consider the waiver for 3 months to provide relief to the industry in this pandemic situation.
