New Delhi, June 21 -- India's engineering goods exports have risen by 60 percent since 2014, underscoring the impact of the Make in India initiative, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal announced on Friday via X.

The rise in engineering exports comes amid steady improvements in India's broader industrial performance.

According to data released by the Ministry of Statistics, India's industrial production in April 2025 increased by 2.7 percent year-on-year.

The manufacturing sector-accounting for a significant share of industrial output-recorded 3.4 percent growth, up from 3 percent in March.

Key segments such as basic metals, motor vehicles, and industrial machinery led this expansion.
