New Delhi, Oct. 8 -- The Delhi government has finalised a proposal to develop three new industrial areas in Kanjhawala, Ranikhera, and Baprola, which will soon be presented before the cabinet for approval, senior officials said.
The initiative aims to promote economic growth by setting up modern, eco-friendly industrial zones focused on advanced and knowledge-based industries.
These areas will help relocate non-polluting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from residential neighbourhoods, fostering a more balanced and sustainable urban economy.
Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said the government will prioritise frontier sectors such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and advanced robotics.
