New Delhi, July 8 -- The Central government has received investment proposals worth Rs 7,500 crore to Rs 8,000 crore under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), aimed at enhancing India's domestic capacity in electronic components production, according to a Business Standard report.

A senior official from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) said nearly 100 applications have been submitted by both Indian and foreign companies planning to set up manufacturing units across the country.
