New Delhi, Jan. 1 -- Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced the nationwide rollout of Voice over WiFi (VoWiFi), also referred to as Wi-Fi Calling, making the service available to its customers across all telecom circles in the country.

The launch marks an expansion of BSNL's service offerings aimed at improving call connectivity in areas with limited mobile network coverage.

VoWiFi allows customers to make and receive voice calls and messages over a Wi-Fi network, enabling communication in locations such as homes, offices, basements and remote areas where mobile signals may be weak.

The service uses the customer's existing mobile number and handset dialer and does not require any third-party applications.
