New Delhi, June 18 -- Bharat Forge, a leading Indian defence manufacturer, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with French defence company Turgis Gaillard to jointly supply the AAROK unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to the Indian Ministry of Defence.
Under this agreement, Bharat Forge will set up a local production line for the AAROK UAV, enhancing India's self-reliance in defence manufacturing.
The production facility will ensure full control over the maintenance and overhaul of the UAVs, boosting India's defence preparedness and sovereignty.
The AAROK is a medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) UAV designed to offer advanced surveillance and strike capabilities at minimal cost.
