Itanagar, Sept. 23 -- Development projects worth over Rs 5,100 crore were inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh on Monday.

The initiatives span power, connectivity, tourism, health, and infrastructure.

Among the key projects, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for two hydropower ventures-the 240 MW Heo Hydroelectric Project and the 186 MW Tato-I Project-together valued at over Rs 3,700 crore. Both will be developed in the Siyom sub-basin, aimed at harnessing the state's hydroelectric potential.

He also initiated work on a modern convention centre in Tawang, situated at 9,820 feet, designed to host international conferences and cultural events, and launched infrastructure projects worth Rs 1,290 cro...
