New Delhi, July 4 -- The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into imports of 'Virgin Multi-layer Paperboard' from Indonesia.
The move follows a complaint filed by the Indian Paper Manufacturer Association (IPMA) on behalf of the domestic industry, alleging injury caused by underpriced imports.
According to DGTR's notification, the investigation aims to examine the existence, extent, and impact of alleged dumping of the product into the Indian market.
Virgin Multi-layer Paperboard is widely used in the packaging of pharmaceuticals, FMCG goods, food and beverages, electronics, cosmetics, liquor, book covers, and publishing materials.
