Amravati, Oct. 1 -- The Andhra Pradesh government is making an aggressive push to attract Airbus to set up a manufacturing facility in the state, as part of its strategy to strengthen aerospace and defence manufacturing under theMake in Indiainitiative.

This development comes during the first-ever visit of the Airbus Board to India, signalling the company's intent to explore indigenisation and deeper local participation.

State Minister Nara Lokesh has pitched Andhra Pradesh as a strong contender by highlighting the availability of land, skilled workforce, and dedicated aerospace corridors.

The government is also emphasising ease of doing business through fast-track clearances, single-window systems, and investor-friendly policies.
