Mumbai, March 4 -- Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud computing arm of Amazon, is set to invest approximately USD 8.2 billion in India's western state of Maharashtra over the next few years.
The announcement was made by India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on Monday, highlighting the country's push for local cloud data storage.
According to a report by the International Data Corporation, India's cloud services market is projected to reachan estimated USD 24.2 billion by 2028.
