New Delhi, Dec. 16 -- The government is implementing the Green Energy Corridor Phase-II (GEC Phase-II) scheme across seven states including Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh to facilitate the integration of around 20 GW of renewable energy into the national grid, Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy Shripad Yesso Naik said.

In a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha, the Minister on Tuesday said that out of the 91 infrastructure packages planned under the scheme, 73 have been tendered and 67 awarded.

However, based on inputs received from the participating states, no renewable energy project has been connected to the grid under GEC Phase-II so far.
