New Delhi, Dec. 9 -- Minister of State (MoS) for Textiles Pabitra Margherita on Tuesday said that as many as 24 startups have been approved under Grant for Research and Entrepreneurship across Aspiring Innovators in Technical Textiles (GREAT) scheme.

The scheme under the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM) provides support to the start-up ecosystem in India by assisting young innovators, scientists, technologists, and start-ups in translating their technical textile ideas into commercial products.

In written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today, MoS Margherita said that under the GREAT scheme each approved proposal may receive financial support of up to Rs. 50 lakh.
