Afghanistan, Feb. 19 -- United Nations, European Union, and World Bank assessments indicate that the reconstruction needs for Gaza and the West Bank, after 15 months of conflict, will require more than $53 billion. This includes the military operations conducted by Israel in Gaza and the West Bank.

According to a report from the Palestine Information Center, this initial rapid assessment of the damages and necessary needs suggests that $53.2 billion will be required for recovery and rebuilding over the next ten years. Of this total, $20 billion will be spent in the first three years alone.
