Afghanistan, June 28 -- The WHO urgently requests $2 million to support Afghan migrants returning from Iran and Pakistan, as border health systems face mounting pressure.

Following the mass deportation of Afghan migrants from Iran and Pakistan, Dr. Hanan Balkhy, the World Health Organization's Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, has urgently requested $2 million in emergency funding. The funds are intended to support critical health services for returning Afghan nationals.
