Afghanistan, March 6 -- The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that in January of this year, it supported 131 health centers across 20 provinces in Afghanistan and expanded 9 hospitals in 7 provinces.

The WHO also recently stated in a press release that it supported 12 drug addiction treatment centers and 2 opioid substitution treatment centers in 12 provinces.

Additionally, the WHO collaborated with 6 non-governmental organizations to provide healthcare services. This partnership has been vital in extending medical care to various regions of Afghanistan.
