Afghanistan, Sept. 8 -- The World Health Organization has delivered 35 tons of vital medical supplies to Afghanistan's quake-hit provinces, as international and regional partners expand humanitarian aid efforts.
The World Health Organization has delivered 35 tons of critical medical supplies to Afghanistan to support victims of the recent devastating earthquakes in Kunar and Nangarhar.
WHO said on Monday that the consignment was sourced from its emergency logistics hub in Dubai and flown in with support from Dubai's humanitarian agencies.
The shipment includes lifesaving medical kits such as child health packages for severely malnourished children, non-communicable disease kits, surgical supplies, and essential medicines and equipment.
