Afghanistan, Sept. 19 -- The World Food Programme has warned that hunger in Afghanistan is rising sharply, urging urgent funding to deliver aid before winter isolates vulnerable communities nationwide.

The World Food Programme (WFP) has sounded the alarm over Afghanistan's deepening hunger crisis, warning that millions face worsening food insecurity as repeated crises strain resources.

On Thursday, September 18, the agency said urgent funding is needed to deliver food before winter snows cut off remote villages, leaving families without vital supplies.
