Afghanistan, April 9 -- Three Afghan girls were attacked by a group of students at a public school in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred on Monday, April 7, at the "Pine River" middle school during lunchtime in the cafeteria.
According to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in Houston, around 20 students surrounded and severely beat the three girls. Sources indicate that pencils were used as weapons in the assault.
One of the victims was hospitalized for four days due to the severity of her injuries. She is now wearing a neck brace and continues to struggle with both physical and psychological trauma.
