Afghanistan, April 30 -- Veterans urge the Trump Administration to maintain funding for the Afghan Ally Support Program, fearing the impact of proposed budget cuts.

A leaked budget proposal dated April 10 from the White House Office of Management and Budget reveals the Trump administration's intent to shut down the Coordinator for Afghan Relocation Efforts (CARE) by the end of fiscal year 2025.

Fox News reported on Tuesday that the document proposes halting new funding and using the remaining $600 million for the program's "orderly shutdown." CARE, launched under Operation Enduring Welcome, was established to relocate Afghan allies at risk due to their support of U.S. operations.
