Afghanistan, Jan. 26 -- The U.S. State Department has announced that refugee admission programs are no longer a priority for the department.

In a statement issued on Saturday, January 25, the department stated that it will no longer engage in activities that facilitate mass migration.

Marco Rubio, the newly appointed U.S. Secretary of State, emphasized that every dollar spent must align with Washington's interests.

According to the statement, the new U.S. foreign policies will focus on strengthening borders and preventing illegal immigration.
