Afghanistan, Feb. 18 -- The first meeting between the foreign ministers of the United States and Russia to discuss ending the war in Ukraine has begun in Diriyah Palace, northwest of Riyadh, with Saudi Arabia hosting the talks.

Arab media have described the meeting as crucial, taking place on Tuesday, February 18, with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio leading the Washington delegation and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov heading the Moscow delegation.
