Afghanistan, March 25 -- U.S. Representatives Joe Wilson and Jimmy Panetta, members of the Republican and Democratic parties, respectively, have introduced a bill in Congress calling for sanctions against General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan.

The bill, presented to Congress on Monday, march 24, targets Munir for his alleged involvement in suppressing political opposition, particularly the imprisonment of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, and for human rights violations in the country.
