Afghanistan, Feb. 27 -- The United States has sanctioned six companies based in China and Hong Kong for their involvement in the network supplying drones to the Islamic Republic.

According to a report by Reuters on Wednesday, February 26, this action is part of Washington's maximum pressure campaign against Tehran. The companies were supplying various drone components to the Iranian government.

The U.S. Treasury Department has claimed that these companies collaborated with Iran to enhance the country's capabilities in drone manufacturing and ballistic missiles. This is viewed as an effort to boost Iran's military technology.
