Reuters reported that the U.S. House of Representatives has banned the use of WhatsApp, a messaging service owned by Meta, across all its departments. The decision follows concerns over the platform's data security practices.

According to an internal memo sent to all staff on Monday, the Cybersecurity Office flagged WhatsApp as a high-risk platform due to its lack of transparency in protecting user data, unencrypted stored data, and potential security vulnerabilities.
