Afghanistan, May 2 -- The U.S. anticipates additional American detainees will be released from Taliban custody, following recent diplomatic efforts.

Tammy Bruce, spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, announced that additional American citizens are expected to be released from detention in countries including Afghanistan, Russia, and Venezuela. She highlighted that, within the first 100 days of President Donald Trump's second term, 47 Americans have been freed from foreign custody, attributing these successes to intensified diplomatic efforts.
