Afghanistan, Feb. 20 -- The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Afghanistan has reported that, last year, it distributed educational materials to 3.5 million Afghan schoolchildren across the country.
In a report released on Wednesday, February 19, UNICEF stated that the materials included pens, notebooks, textbooks, school bags, and other educational supplies.
UNICEF has consistently worked to assist the people of Afghanistan, implementing humanitarian programs to support orphaned children, provide food, and ensure education, all in an effort to improve their living conditions.
Earlier, UNICEF had also announced its support for 18,000 classrooms for both girls and boys across Afghanistan in the past year.
