Afghanistan, Jan. 5 -- Zamir Kabulov, the Special Representative of the Russian President in Afghanistan, has stated that the United Nations will hold a meeting on Afghanistan in the second half of January this year.

Mr. Kabulov made these remarks in an interview with the Russian news agency TASS and mentioned that he is awaiting the United Nations' invitation to participate in this meeting.

According to him, representatives of countries involved in Afghan affairs will be present at the potential meeting that is expected to be conducted under the supervision of the United Nations.
