Afghanistan, Aug. 30 -- A UN survey shows over 90% of Afghans support girls' education despite Taliban bans, while women's employment restrictions cripple aid delivery and deepen psychological and humanitarian crises.

The United Nations says more than 90 percent of Afghans support girls' right to education, four years after the Taliban banned female secondary and higher schooling.

The UN revealed the findings on Friday, based on a survey of 2,000 respondents across Afghanistan, reflecting overwhelming public demand for education access.

Sofia Calltorp, head of UN Women's humanitarian action, stressed that Afghan families remain determined for their daughters to continue studying despite Taliban restrictions.
