Afghanistan, Nov. 16 -- The United Nations warns that freezing winter conditions threaten thousands of vulnerable families, citing food shortages, destroyed homes and limited heating supplies across natural disaster, including earthquakes regions of Afghanistan.
The UN refugee agency warned on Saturday that thousands of families across Afghanistan, Syria and Ukraine face life-threatening winter conditions as temperatures begin to drop. In a statement, UNHCR urged immediate support for displaced people and communities affected by conflict.
