Afghanistan, March 4 -- Volker Turk, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, has stated that Afghan women and girls are deprived of basic freedoms essential for normal life. Speaking at the UN Human Rights Council on Monday, March 3, he emphasized the severe restrictions they face under Taliban rule.
