Afghanistan, Dec. 11 -- The UN is rebuilding a school in Herat, providing education for 400 students whose school was destroyed in an earthquake, supporting community recovery.

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) has begun reconstructing Laklak Khana School in Herat's Rabat-Sangi district, which was destroyed by an earthquake two years ago. The school will accommodate 400 students and is being built with disaster-resilient design to withstand future natural hazards.
