Afghanistan, March 7 -- Antonio Guterres, the United Nations Secretary-General, stated that despite the end of heavy fighting in Afghanistan over the past three years, the country's economy remains fragile.

In his quarterly report on Afghanistan, released on Thursday, March 6th, Guterres emphasized that Afghanistan is facing one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world.

He added that the ongoing restrictive policies and actions imposed by the Taliban, particularly against women, have further limited economic activities and livelihoods across the country, making it difficult to provide aid to those in need.
