Afghanistan, March 4 -- The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has announced that it has signed a financial agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to improve the livelihoods of returnees and internally displaced persons in 13 provinces of Afghanistan.
In a statement released on Monday, March 3, JICA mentioned that over six million dollars will be allocated for the support of these individuals over the course of one year.
The aim of the project is to improve the livelihoods of returnees and internally displaced persons by constructing infrastructure and providing equipment that can strengthen their economic activities and self-sufficiency in Afghanistan.
