Afghanistan, Feb. 24 -- Russia's Defense Ministry reports Ukraine has suffered over 1.5 million casualties since the start of the conflict, with 65,000 soldiers killed in 2026 alone.

According to Russian data on Tuesday, February 24, cited by TASS, Kyiv has lost approximately 65,000 soldiers since the start of 2026. Overall military casualties exceed 1.5 million since the beginning of hostilities.

Russia claims it has destroyed 670 fighter jets, 283 helicopters, 116,804 drones, 650 air-defense missile systems, 27,835 tanks, other armored vehicles, and 1,671 multiple rocket launchers.
