Afghanistan, Oct. 23 -- Britain's Ministry of Defence revealed nearly 50 data breaches affecting Afghan resettlement schemes, including incidents exposing personal details of thousands who aided UK forces in Afghanistan.

The British Ministry of Defence (MoD) has confirmed nearly 50 incidents of data breaches and personal information leaks related to its Afghan relocation and assistance programmes.

According to a report by Public Technology on Thursday, October 23, David Williams, the MoD's Permanent Secretary, revealed in a letter to Parliament that breaches occurred within the "Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy" (ARAP) and the "Intimidation Scheme" for local staff who worked alongside British forces.
