Afghanistan, July 11 -- The UK Ministry of Defence approved only 2.04% of 17,625 Afghan relocation requests in early 2025, raising concerns over eligibility criteria.

The latest statistics from the UK Ministry of Defence reveal that in the first half of 2025, less than three percent of Afghanistan's applicants under the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) were deemed eligible.

Between January 1 and June 30, 2025, a total of 17,625 primary applications were received for the ARAP program. Out of these, only 73 applications - approximately 2.04% - were approved.
