Afghanistan, Jan. 26 -- The United Arab Emirates has stated it will not allow its airspace, territory, or waters to be used for hostile military operations against Iran.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Monday, January 26, that the country remains committed to neutrality and regional stability, rejecting any use of its territory for aggressive acts toward Iran.

The announcement comes amid continuing uncertainty over potential military action against Iran following U.S. President Donald Trump's statement last week about a "large fleet" heading toward the country.
