Afghanistan, Aug. 17 -- The U.S. cancelled its trade delegation to India, delaying negotiations indefinitely. New tariffs on Indian goods, linked to Russian oil imports, have escalated tensions between Washington and New Delhi.

The United States has cancelled a planned trade delegation visit to New Delhi, which was scheduled for August 24-28, according to Indian news outlet NDTV.

NDTV, citing informed sources, reported that the talks have now been postponed indefinitely. Reuters noted it has not yet independently confirmed the cancellation.
