Afghanistan, May 23 -- A U.S. Senator Bob Menendez has expressed doubts regarding Taliban's counter-terrorism guarantees raising questions regarding Taliban's capability to deny safe havens to terrorist groups operating in Afghanistan.

Speaking to Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad during a classified hearing on Afghan peace talks, Senator Menendez "First, you have claimed progress in securing counter terrorism guarantees. This is perhaps the most critical component of a very complex peace deal."
