Afghanistan, Dec. 31 -- U.S. Central Command said American forces and partners killed or detained nearly 25 ISIS fighters in Syria following multiple raids launched after a December 19 attack.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said American forces and their partners killed or detained nearly 25 Islamic State fighters in Syria following a large-scale operation launched on December 19. The missions were carried out across multiple regions of the country.

CENTCOM stated on Tuesday, December 30 that at least seven ISIS members were killed during 11 operations conducted between December 20 and 29, while others were arrested. The raids also resulted in the destruction of four ISIS weapons caches.
