A U.S. court has ordered the release of Syed Naser, a former interpreter and logistics contractor for American forces in Afghanistan, ruling that his detention was unlawful.

Naser had been held for 106 days by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) before his release on Saturday, September 27, according to AfghanEvac, an advocacy group assisting Afghan allies of the United States.
