Following the signing of a new executive order by U.S. President Donald Trump, funding for two major public media outlets in the United States, National Public Radio (NPR) and Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), has officially been halted.

The order, issued by the White House on Thursday, May 1st, labels the activities of these media organizations as "biased and partisan."
