Afghanistan, March 15 -- The British police have arrested two men on suspicion of attacking Natiq Malikzada, an activist and opponent of the current regime in Afghanistan.

Malikzada, a 29-year-old Afghan refugee and an outspoken critic of extremism, was attacked in his room at a refugee hotel on February 13. He sustained injuries to his hand, shoulder, and chest during the assault.

Hampshire police issued a statement saying that two men, aged 25 and 29, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
