Authorities in Minneapolis say a 23-year-old suspect opened fire inside a Catholic school attached to a church on Wednesday, killing two children aged 8 and 10 and injuring 17 others. Police confirmed that most of the victims were children, with at least two in critical condition.
The suspect has been identified as Robin Westman, who legally changed their name from Robert in 2020 after identifying as a woman. However, police officials referred to the attacker as male during press briefings.
