Afghanistan, Feb. 23 -- Iranian police rescued two Afghan traders in Tehran after 25 days held in a hidden well, following a high-profile kidnapping.

Iran's police reported that the two Afghan traders were kidnapped in Tehran and kept in harsh conditions in a concealed well.

Kidnappers had sent videos of the traders being tortured to their families, demanding a ransom of $600,000 for their release.

After extensive investigation, Iranian authorities located the site and successfully rescued both traders, who are now receiving medical and psychological care.
