Afghanistan, Nov. 8 -- Turkmenistan has delivered humanitarian supplies worth over half a million US dollars to assist victims of recent deadly earthquakes in northern Afghanistan.
Turkmenistan delivered a major relief shipment to Afghanistan on Saturday to support families affected by recent earthquakes in Balkh and Samangan provinces.
According to Taliban authorities in Balkh, the aid package - valued at around 34 million afghanis approximitely ($510,000) - includes 68 types of food, medical supplies, clothing, and construction materials.
Officials said the shipment was handed over at the Aqina border crossing, where Turkmen representatives coordinated with Afghan authorities for onward distribution to quake-stricken areas.
